R2-D2

Artoo-Detoo is an astromech droid with an adventurous character, one of the key characters in the sci-fi movie epic Star Wars. It is 96 cm tall. The robot has a barrel-shaped form with a rotating dome that acts as its head and includes a single eye. The droid can't talk, giving only squeaks and trills. It can communicate with the pilot when connected to the fighter, typing its messages on the monitor. It also has many useful body gadgets, which made it the greatest mechanic capable of fixing spaceships and complex devices. R2-D2 was built to service Queen Amidala's Nubian Royal Starship. After she escaped, the ship came under fire, and it was nearly incapacitated. R2-D2 was among those who engaged in its repair. It was the only survivor of the ensuing attacks, after which it alone repaired the defects and restored the spacecraft's functionality. For the next ten years, it continued to serve under the queen. When her bodyguard Anakin Skywalker became a knight, the queen gave R2-D2 to the Jedi. Since then, the astrodroid has accompanied its new master everywhere, engaging in battles and taking on the role of the ship co-pilot. After the war ended, the robot transferred to the Alderaan cruiser Tantive IV, where it served for another 19 years. Later he met Luke Skywalker. He participated in the rescue of Princess Leia and played a crucial role in the Rebellion and the liberation of Galaxy. Luke departed for exile and continued to serve the Resistance. The unstable situation and signs of new conflict led to the decision to find Luke Skywalker. Saved archives were loaded into the astrodroid's memory. R2-D2 went into power-saving mode to process the information. Eventually, R2-D2, along with Chewbacca and young Rey Skywalker, went to find Luke. Later, the droid trained Rey in the finer points of the Jedi craft. After completing its training, the robot joined the Falcon. Then it, with the rest of the crew, participated in the battle on Crait. The brave astromech's fate is unknown.
