C-3PO

Sometimes it was called C-Tripio, but more often just Tripio, a character from the Star Wars universe and a close friend of R2-D2. C-3PO is a bipedal humanoid droid designed to interact with living beings of various races and programmed as an etiquette consultant and interpreter. It boasts that it knows more than six million forms of communication. After many decades, it has developed its mannerisms and has acquired personality traits such as fidgeting and restlessness. According to the firmware, it is very loyal to its owners. Since its creation, C-3PO has served more than forty years. Its owners have included Anakin Skywalker, Shmi Skywalker, Cliegg Lars, Padme Amidala, Raymus Antilles, Leia Organa, Lars Owen, and Luke Skywalker. C-3PO was assembled from parts by Anakin Skywalker in Mos Espa, a city on Tatooine. The droid's memory has been erased. After a while, it and R2-D2 were assigned to the Alderaan ship Tantive IV, where the droids served 19 years. Later the character was involved in the Galactic Civil War. After meeting Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, the robot participated in the liberation of Princess Leia from the Imperial Death Star. Thus, C-3PO became their constant companion, helping to defeat the Empire and restore freedom in the Galaxy. C-3PO made an invaluable contribution to the victory, convincing the Ewoks to support the rebels during the Battle of Endor. C-3PO later served Skywalker and Solo during the New Republic. And some thirty years after the Battle of Endor, the droid was an aide to Leia Organa, who became a Resistance general. At this time, C-3PO was equipped with a red left hand, and its translator database was expanded to seven million forms of communication.
