Kick-off on: 15 October

The English side, under Fabian Hürzeler, shows purposeful football at the start of the new season. In its recent Premier League matches, Brighton has shown fighting spirit, producing a lively performance against Chelsea and then sharing the points at home with Leeds United, 1-1, a match in which young Croatian defender Luka Vušković marked his debut with a goal. The team is in great form, well drilled, and intends to use home advantage to seize the initiative straight away and pin its opponent back in its own half. Kauno Žalgiris has put in a colossal amount of work to earn the right to play in the Conference League's main round. The club from Kaunas relies on tight defensive setups and quick transitions from defense into attack down the flanks. The visitors are well aware of the quality gap between the two squads, so they will offer their opponent maximum compactness in the central zone and strict tactical discipline across the pitch.
