The Baku club comes into this historic home match after a painful European baptism in the first round, where it suffered a heavy defeat to Manchester United with a score of 0-4. However, in the domestic championship, things are going quite successfully for it, as confirmed by convincing victories over Zira 5-0 and Imishli 3-1. For Sabah, it is critically important to cope with the opening-night nerves of a debutant at such a high level, to impose a tight, intense battle on the visitors in the midfield from the very first minutes, and not to let the Czechs dictate their own terms on the pitch. Prague's Slavia is heading to Baku also with serious sporting anger after a frustrating defeat in the opening round of the Champions League to France's Lens with a score of 2-3. Despite this international slip-up, in the Czech championship the Prague side is showing stable and powerful football, regularly collecting points. Slavia's tactical doctrine traditionally relies on well-oiled playing discipline, hard team pressing, and high intensity. The visitors plan to deprive the opponent of free space near the penalty area, and it will look for its chances through fast flank attacks and set pieces.

The upcoming Champions League duel becomes a fundamental battle for the first points of the competition, in which Sabah will do everything possible for a sensational result, while the experienced Prague players will try to use their superiority in class to achieve a victory away from home.
