Kick-off on October 14, 2026, at 22:00.

The second round of the UEFA Champions League league phase will feature a match between Bodø/Glimt and Borussia Dortmund at Aspmyra Stadium. At the same stage of last season's tournament, the teams played out a 2-2 draw in Dortmund, where even a brace from Julian Brandt was not enough to secure a home victory. The Norwegian runner-up reached the main phase after progressing through two qualifying rounds, thanks in part to Jens Hauge's outstanding performances, but suffered a heavy 5-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the opening round. The German side, by contrast, made a confident start with a 3-2 home victory over Villarreal.

Since making its Champions League debut in the 2021/22 season, Bodø/Glimt has turned its home stadium into a real fortress, losing only three of its 17 home matches. The hosts traditionally score plenty of goals on their own turf and, throughout their history in Europe's premier club competition, have failed to score at home only once, suffering a 1-0 defeat to Monaco. However, the Norwegian side's only previous experience of hosting German opposition in European competitions ended badly, with a heavy 5-0 loss to Werder Bremen.

Borussia Dortmund has won just one of its last six away matches in the Champions League, beating Danish side Copenhagen 4-2. At the same time, the Dortmund club has never lost on Norwegian soil in its history of international competition. In its three previous visits to the country, the German side recorded two victories over Lyn and Odd, as well as a draw against Rosenborg.
