The Parisian side has demonstrated strong scoring form and consistency at its home stadium. Recent head-to-head statistics favor the Parisians: in their previous European match, played on October 1, 2025, PSG secured a 2-1 away victory over the Catalan side thanks to goals from Senny Mayulu and Gonçalo Ramos. The home team's coaching staff plans to employ aggressive pressing down the wings and quick transitions from defense to attack to create as many problems as possible for the visitors' defensive structure.

Barcelona has been in phenomenal form under Hansi-Dieter Flick, averaging more than four goals per game in domestic competition. The clubs have an absolutely even record in their European head-to-head history, with six wins apiece and four draws. The Catalan side intends to rely on total control of possession in midfield and the outstanding technical ability of its attacking players to break through the Parisians' defensive block.

The teams' Champions League playoff encounters in 2024 produced some incredible, fiercely contested results.
