Since 1965 a multi-day road cycling race has been held on the roads of Turkey. The Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey consists of a number of stages, and since 2012 the mountain stages have been among them. The last reigning winner is the 2019 champion, Felix Großschartner, since the race was cancelled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
