The main character used to serve in Copenhagen police. Then he suddenly was transferred to a Northern off-state town. The law didn’t have any special power in this remote province, where residents got used to settling all the problems themselves. The character also doesn’t really want to change the orders there and hopes to leave soon. But certain unpleasant local secrets start emerging on the surface, and the policeman will have to dig deeper and disturb this bog a lot.
