The height of the Great Patriotic War. Alyosha Skvortsov is a simple soldier, who manages to destroy two tanks of fascists alone. For this he s given an extraordinary vacation, and the guy goes to visit his mother. But he will have a long way back, because Alyosha tries to help everyone he meets. Skvortsov helps a disabled man and a young girl, and eventually he will have very little time to hug his mom and promise her to come back alive.
