After the February Revolution in Russia, thousands of soldiers were forgotten in the First World War. The main character, whose name is Taras Golota is one of them. He managed to return home, where it turns out that his mother was killed during the uprising. In a state of aggression against the whole world, Taras met with staunch Bolsheviks and became one of the many soldiers under the red flag.
