The cheerful and bright performance after the Ukrainian theatre classics – the play of G. Kvitka- Osnov’yanenko, with a lyric music of the Ukrainian operetta maestro Kirill Stetsenko. A plain, but endued by the beauty and the tender heart, girl Ylyana doesn’t want to marry. She doesn’t like a rich and foolish Stetsko, and indeed she loves, in spite of the mother’s common sense, a handsome bond youngster Aleksey. Only the interference of the sly and blased relative of the lover, a soldier Skorik, helps Ylyana’s dreams come true.
