The movie is about a difficult fate of an ordinary girl, Stesha Ternovaya. She became an orphan at the age of 7 and still blames herself for the death of her parents. She is to meet many challenges: she will marry a man she will not love; one of her sons will turn away from her; she will struggle for the life of the second son; and she will break free from “the gold cage”. She will have to search for the missing expensive icon, and fight for her father’s good name, who is considered to be guilty of stealing the icon. From soft, tender and sacrificial she will turn into a strong woman, capable of anything for the happiness of her children… and will return her love…
