The penultimate round of the Motocross World Championship takes place in Italy, namely in the town of Maggiora. It is the sixty-seventh season of the championship. Before that, athletes competed in Turkey, where Tim Gajser and Romain Febvre were able to distinguish themselves in MXGP, and Jago Geerts and Simon Lengenfelder in MX2.
