A multiday road cycling race was held from February 14 to 18 in the Algarve region of Portugal, which was given the category 2. Pro. It was the fiftieth edition of the Volta ao Algarve. A total of twenty-five teams competed, including nine from UCI Continental. The route length was over seven hundred and fifty-two and a half kilometers (752.7 km).
