The fourteenth season of the road one-day cycling race started in Bredene, located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The finish was in the town of Koksijde, and in the middle part of the course, the riders passed Baneberg, Kemmelberg, and Scherpenberg. The distance was two hundred and two kilometers, ten kilometers more than in last year's competition.
