The action takes place in Kazakhstan in the 20th of XX century. The Soviet state security organization “Cheka” is trying to overthrow the White Guardist ataman Dutov. But it is very hard to get close to him. Therefore, Cheka decides to send their secret agent to the enemy camp. Chadyarov, a relative of one of the Dutov’s persons in attendance, is sent to ataman to accomplish a difficult mission. He worms himself into their confidence, undergoing various tests and inspections and becomes at home among strangers.
