The events take place in 1920, in Odessa. It is a hard time of domination of consequences after the war of Red and White Armies. Finally the Red Army enters the city with triumph. Now they need to release simple people from flourishing criminality. For that they gather new forces, among which there is Volodya Kozachenko, a former gymnasium student.
