Dogtanian and the Three Muskehounds is a cartoon version of the classic novel by Alexandre Dumas' Dartanyan and Three Musketeers. " Most of characters reincarnated in dogs. Exceptions are temperamental Milady (cat), sworn Dogtanian’s friend Pip the mouse, Planchet (bear), the main Dogtanian’s servant and one pig from Cardinal custody. The story, set in 17th century, follows a young Dogtanian who goes to Paris to become one of the King Louis XVIII of France’s musketeers. He quickly befriends three musketeers (Porthos, Athos and Aramis) and falls in love with Juliette.
