This three-part project follows Premier League players who emerged from one of the most promising yet dangerous parts of the UK capital.

South of the River was produced by Noah Media Group and premiered in the UK on November 23, 2021. One of the producers, Gabriel Clarke, has won six awards and earned several nominations, including the Golden Eye award. BAFTA winner Rio Ferdinand, a former Champions League-winning captain, also served as producer alongside Torquil Jones, who holds a Golden Trophy.

Music was composed by Jeep Wong, known for his work on Ms. Marvel, a Primetime Emmy-winning series. Damien Bradshaw served as cinematographer, previously working on How to Get It Back: The Simanda Story, which won two awards at the Calgary Film Festival.
