Over the span of three thousand years, more than two hundred pharaohs ruled Egypt. The 2024 historical documentary series Pharaoh: Greater Than The Pyramids focuses on six rulers, including Cleopatra, Khufu, Djoser, and Ramses II. It explores their lives, reigns, and lasting legacies. The creators introduce viewers to these figures through original graphics, new research, and expert insights.

In particular, the audience will learn about the mystery surrounding the tomb of Alexander the Great, as well as a pharaoh from the Third Dynasty, renowned for constructing the first step pyramid. Ramses II, who ruled for 66 years, left behind numerous temples and monuments. Khufu is famous for the Great Pyramid of Giza, while Cleopatra, the last queen of ancient Egypt, symbolizes its fall to the Romans.

Pharaoh: Greater Than The Pyramids is a six-part series produced by RMC Production and Label News. One of the project’s creators is Anne-Fleur Delaistre, known for her work on documentaries such as Turkey According to Erdoğan, Cleopatra: In Search of the Lost Tomb, and Sunday Documentary. She has worked on approximately five films in total.

François Pomès, who also served as a director, is well known for his involvement in documentaries such as Marilyn: The Last Truth, Apollo: The Hidden Side of the Moon, and Cleopatra: The Mystery of the Mummified Hand. He has worked on over 15 documentary projects. Jeanne Lefevre also joined the production team. The series was released in both English and French.
