«When the Ferns Bloom» is a folk opera-ballet in 3 acts, created by composer Yevhen Stankovych.
The work was banned by the Soviet authorities for many decades, and its triumphant debut took place only in 2017 on the stage of the Lviv National Opera.

This large-scale production combines modern musical language with folk traditions, choral singing, and contemporary choreography.
The use of video projections and dynamic set design creates a true effect of a theatrical extravaganza.

In the video recording of the production, one of the main roles is performed by the legendary Nina Matvienko, whose voice and charisma add a unique emotional power to the performance.

«When the Ferns Bloom» is not only the return of a forbidden masterpiece but also a vivid symbol of Ukrainian culture, which critics call a true breakthrough in modern musical and theatrical art.
