Basketball competitions at the Rhine-Ruhr Universiade are set to begin, lasting nine days. The men’s and women’s 5×5 basketball tournaments will take place from July 18 to 26, 2025, in the cities of Duisburg, Essen, and Hagen, featuring 16 teams in each competition. For the first time, the Games will also include 3×3 basketball and 3×3 wheelchair basketball (Para Sport).
