The career of radio host Alan Partridge collapses when his station is taken over by a conglomerate. Because of Alan, his colleague, DJ Pat Farrell, is fired and takes the station staff hostage at gunpoint. Ironically, Alan becomes the chief negotiator, seeing the siege as his chance for a triumphant return to the media spotlight.
