Hellboy, an agent of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, together with his partner Bobbie Jo Song, accidentally finds themselves in a remote village in the Appalachians. The local residents are terrorized by the sinister Crooked Man, a demon who makes blood pacts, collecting human souls and bending them to his will. To defeat him, Hellboy must confront a monster that not only threatens the innocent but also has a disturbing connection to his own past.
