The action takes place in a small Kyrgyz village on New Year's Eve, where fifteen-year-old Zhakshylyk goes to spend the holidays with his grandfather. While his father is serving a term in prison and his mother is working in another country, he remains his only close relative. And when he has problems at school, the grandfather tries to find out what happened with his grandson.
