Famous actor Simon Axler suddenly loses his talent. He can no longer perform on stage and falls into a deep depression. After a failed suicide attempt, he finds himself in a psychiatric clinic. Soon, Pegeen, the daughter of old acquaintances, enters his life. A strange relationship develops between the aging artist and the young woman.
