The 2026 Itzulia Basque Country is a prestigious multi-day cycling race in Spain. The competition is part of the UCI WorldTour series. The route consists of 6 stages with a total length of 809.6 km. The race begins in Bilbao with an individual time trial. From there, the route leads participants south before returning to the coast. Almost every segment of the journey concludes with an uphill climb, providing a stage for punchers and climbers to demonstrate their strength. The first three riders at the finish line receive time bonuses of six, four, and two seconds, respectively. The finale will take place in the city of Bergara. A year earlier, João Almeida emerged as the winner.
