A group of scientists discovers a mysterious meteorite in the Arctic, and contact with it ends in tragedy: one of the researchers dies, while another becomes infected with an unknown extraterrestrial substance. The staff of a nearby polar station takes in the survivor in order to investigate the incident in detail. However, during the study of the infection, the rescued man’s true identity and motives begin to raise serious suspicions among the team. The confined space of the base becomes a trap as a deadly confrontation with an unknown threat brews.
