Fell (2014) is a psychological drama directed by Kasimir Burgess. The story is a parable about the nature of grief, the destructive power of revenge, and the hope of redemption. At its center is Thomas, whose life is divided into before and after a family hiking trip.

During the trip, his only daughter tragically dies under the wheels of a logging truck. After serving his prison sentence, the driver is eventually released. Consumed by grief, Thomas abandons his identity, takes the name Chris, and moves to the place where the tragedy occurred. Working as a logger, he becomes the partner of Luke—the man responsible for the accident—on dangerous high-altitude logging jobs. From that moment on, Luke’s life quite literally falls into Chris’s hands. Tension builds day by day, but his plan for the perfect revenge unexpectedly begins to unravel.

The main cast includes Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Award nominee Matt Nable, award winner Daniel Henshall, Stockholm Film Festival winner Jacqueline McKenzie, Australian Film Institute Award nominee John Brumpton, and others. The screenplay was written by Natasha Pincus. Fell breaks away from the conventions of a revenge thriller, turning the confrontation between its characters into a deeply personal drama. Its central themes include loss, the process of grieving, male vulnerability, the search for redemption, and the power of forgiveness.
