A purely British series based on the purely British novels of Caroline Graham. The sum of the British detective does not change with the change of places, and time has no power over true values. The primitive islanders still commit the most sophisticated crimes, followed by the most thorough and respectful view of elegant detectives, and the background for these understated passions are green lawns and shady alleys, dusky offices, and cold bedrooms. Almost all of the action takes place in the villages of the small, exemplarily serene county of Midsomer. Sometimes something that is not seen in the capitals occurs in this pastoral backdrop. And the village police have to handle the dangerous and difficult service.
