Polish teenager Wojtek travels to Sweden with his parents to work as a seasonal strawberry picker. There, he encounters the harsh exploitation of migrant workers and deep-rooted prejudice, but despite everything, he falls in love with Anneli, the local farmer's daughter. As social tensions escalate around them, their relationship begins to break down the invisible barriers dividing their worlds.
