Lee is a secretive solitary man, who has issues with finding a common language with others. The death of his brother forces him to return to the city where he grew up, the city he left after a terrible tragedy. When he arrives he learns that his brother chose him as a guardian for his teenage son. Neither Lee nor his nephew is ready for such turn of events.
