Carrie Stetko, a servant of the law, arrives in Antarctica three days before the general evacuation. Then comes the polar night, and everybody must leave the base. Suddenly a message arrives about a corpse that was found 500 km away from the base. This is a geologist from a nearby station, and the cause of death is murder. Now Carrie should investigate this case, but she has only three days.
