An elderly Georgian, Georgiy, goes to the military hospital to see his son, who is being treated there after a gun wound. Along the way he faces difficulties and trials. But in the hospital the father finds out that the son has already departed to his unit. Georgiy decides to join the ranks of the Soviet army. This version of the movie is colorized.
