The Film is a sequel to "Ivan Brovkin the Soldier". After his demobilization Ivan Brovkin stayed at home not for so long. Together with his friends, he decided to go to the virgin lands. But Lyubasha, disagreeing to go to a distant land, stayed to wait for her Ivan, who overcame the difficulties together with everybody, and soon became a former of tracktor drivers, the shock worker. Ivan's mother moved to her ​​son, who his friends-virgin landers built a new house for. Zahar Silych also came here to his Pauline. For his labour, Ivan Brovkin was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. Now he came to propose to his Lyubasha. Her parents did not mind. After the wedding, the young people went to the virgin lands to continue their cultivation.
