Czechoslovakia, 1963. Jan Díte is released from prison, where the Communists have thrown him for the fact that he has been a millionaire. 15 years - a year for every million he has had. He acquires a right to settle in an abandoned village on the border with Germany and begins to slowly restore an old house. He stirs up memories and tells the neighbours about his colorful life during the time of the first Czech Republic and up till that time. He started as a simple supplier of sausages at the railway station and reached a high position in the best hotels in Prague. Once he even received an award from the hands of the King of Abyssinia. Many amazing things happened to him during that time. Money and women were Jan’s guiding star, but eventually led him to the wrong haven, of which he didn’t dream.
