New York writer Eddie, wanting to overcome the black strip in life, takes secret drug called NZT. The tablet makes the guy’s brain work in an unreal power. This drug changes the whole creative life of Eddie; in a short period of time he earns a lot of money, but soon begins to suffer from the sinister side effects of the drug. When he tries to find other NZT-geniuses to figure out how to deal with this addiction, he learns the awful truth.
