1986, Afghanistan. Geological expedition in the mountains was attacked by the Mujahideen. They need to return to Kabul urgently. The only possibility is to join a major military column, which will pass the needed route. At first glance it seems that it is a safe option. But the spirits are planning a big operation in order to destroy the Soviet troops when they will cross the only bridge. And geologists are having dependent role in this case.
