Two brothers, Vasya and Kolya, who have completely different characters and values in life, decide to find their father. They soon learn that a man who once abandoned them as children is dying in a local hospital in Luxembourg. The first of the boys thinks his father is a bad man and a scoundrel, while the second calls him a real hero.
