The hero's full name is James P. Sullivan. He lives in Monstropolis and is an honorary scarecrow of Monster Inc. and best friend of Mike Wazowski. James's fate was determined from childhood. He had to become a scarecrow and terrify hateful children as his whole family did. James had no problem getting into Monster University, but he never showed a knack for learning. Sally's steady life changed one night when he met a child. His fear and hate of children changed to love and friendship with them. He realized that children are not a threat. It refracted the course of history and changed the whole way of life in Monstropolis, which had been shaped over the years.
