Charles Xavier

The hero is also known as Professor X, the superhero of the Marvel Comics universe, a scientific genius with a superhuman ability to process information, leader, and founder of the X-Men. He was born into a wealthy family. He was the son of a physicist who was involved in nuclear research. After the tragic death of his father, Charles began to manifest telepathic abilities. As a result, he was able not only to read minds but also to influence others: to cause memory loss, illusion, temporary paralysis, deprive the senses and even completely control the consciousness of an opponent. His natural genius is confirmed by doctoral degrees in genetics, biophysics, psychology, and anthropology. Charles is known as the inventor of Cerebro, a supercomputer capable of calculating the location of mutants even beyond Earth. He also created equipment to enhance psionic abilities. As a young man, Charles fell in love with Moira McTaggert. However, the wedding did not take place due to Xavier leaving for the Korean War. Moira did not wait for her lover, and he, being deeply depressed, went traveling. Through his adventures, he realized his purpose in life was to protect humanity from evil mutants and gifted teenagers from human oppression. Unlike Magneto, he wanted to carry out his mission by peaceful means only. The turning point in Xavier's life was a fight with the alien Lucifer. The adversary dropped a block of stone on Charles's feet, after which he had to sit in a wheelchair. Xavier later founded the Institute for Gifted Teens, later renamed the Xavier Institute. There he trained mutants to control their powers. The first group of graduates of the Institute became the first X-Men. For a long time, Charles hid his mutant membership and his leadership of the X-Men from society.
