Mystique

She has used various aliases at different times, but her real name is Raven Darkholme. She is an inveterate enemy of the X-Men and one of the most controversial supervillains in the Marvel Comics universe. She's a mutant with the ability to take on multiple disguises and mimic the voices of humans. She rarely appears in her real form — a yellow-eyed girl with scarlet hair and blue skin. The heroine's exact age is unknown, but she is supposedly over 100 years old. Mystique's parents abandoned her at an early age. One day, after sneaking into a rich house in search of food, she met young Charles Xavier and stayed with him as his adopted sister. She helped him in everything but later became infatuated with Magneto's ideas and left Charles. After Eric's arrest, Mystique defended mutants with her own resources. She took part in almost every significant event in the mutant war with humans and among themselves. Several times she had to fake her own death for safety reasons. The heroine killed Trask after learning of his project to create X-gene robot hunters for humans. After her release, Magneto faithfully served him until she accidentally received an injection of a vaccine that stripped mutants of their powers. When she lost her powers, Eric abandoned her. In retaliation, Raven turned him over to the authorities. When she saved the President of the United States from Magneto, Mystique became a heroine to everyone. Later, Raven helped defeat Apocalypse and began to train young mutants at the Xavier Institute.
