Yoda

Yoda
Yoda (meaning "warrior" in Sanskrit) is one of the main characters in Star Wars, the grand master of the Jedi Order, and one of the strongest and wisest Jedi of his time. He trained about 20 000 apprentices, among them prominent Jedi such as Count Dooku, Ki Adi-Mundi, and Luke Skywalker. He survived Order 66, which mandated the destruction of all Jedi. Very little is known about Yoda's early years. He came from a distant and unknown planet. At a young age, he traveled to Central Worlds to find work. But his ship was attacked, and Yoda was forced to land on an unknown planet. There he was found by Jedi Master N'kata Del Gormo. It was from this encounter that Yoda began his Jedi journey. N'kata Del Gormo taught him the basics of the Force for several years. Yoda went to Coruscant later. Here he joined the Order and continued his training as a junior Jedi. As time passed, he designed his lightsaber under the tutelage of the droid architect Huyang. Yoda got the Jedi Knight title at 50, became a Jedi Master at 96, and also was elected to the High Council. He was one of the Jedi Masters who established a traveling academy aboard the interstellar ship Chu'unthor. At 100, Yoda created holographic records containing all Jedi secrets and techniques. The knight gave the archive to an acquaintance, predicting that these records would help the chosen one teach a new army of knights in the future. It was Yoda who allowed Obi-Wan to become Anakin Skywalker's teacher. But after Anakin kills Yoda's disciples and brothers in arms at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, the Grand Master orders Obi-Wan to kill Skywalker. In the meantime, he aims to fight the great evil Emperor Palpatine. But Yoda fails to kill Darth Sidious. So he goes into voluntary exile on the distant planet of Dagobah to await a new apprentice filled with the Power. After 22 years, Luke Skywalker visits the planet to find the master. The young man desires to become a Jedi and asks Yoda to teach him mastery. Thus, Luke Skywalker becomes a new and final apprentice of the great Yoda. The master predicts a great future for the boy and puts in him all the skills and abilities that he has.
