Drax the Destroyer

Drax the Destroyer, real name Arthur Simpson Douglas. A character in the Marvel Comics universe, he was a member of the Infinity Watch and a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Arthur Douglas worked in real estate and lived with his wife Yvette and daughter Heather. One day, as the family was driving through the Mojave Desert, a spaceship of Thanos suddenly appeared above the car. The alien tried to destroy witnesses of his appearance. That's how Douglas lost his family. Realizing that Thanos had committed a crime, Kronos decided to create a character capable of defeating Thanos. So he moved Arthur's spirit into a being named Drax the Destroyer, whose sole purpose was to destroy the titan. To do so, Drax interacted with the Avengers, the Moondragon, and even the Hulk. But Thanos always eluded reprisal. When he died, Drax wandered aimlessly through the galaxy. After a while, he was killed by his own daughter Heather, who took the form of Moondragon. After Thanos was reborn, Kronos brought Drax back to life, bestowing him with a more comfortable body. Joined by the Silver Surfer, the hero went in search of Thanos but was imprisoned in the Stone of Souls. There he met Gamora, Warlock and Pip the Troll. And when Thanos lost the Infinity Gauntlet, Drax became the representative of the Infinity Watch guarding the stones. During the second war, Star-Lord offered the fighter a partnership in the Guardians of the Galaxy. Drax accepted the offer and joined the group along with Gamora, Warlock, Rocket, and Phyla-Vell.
