Thanos
Thanos

Thanos is a character in the Marvel Comics universe known as the Dark Lord and the Mad Titan. He was born into the A'Lars family about a thousand years ago on Saturn's satellite planet, Titan, inhabited by godlike creatures. Thanos understood that the growth of Titan's population would inevitably lead to its destruction due to a lack of resources. So he suggested that the inhabitants destroy half of the planet's population. But the people rejected this cruel offer and exiled Thanos from the planet. Over time, the Titans' civilization fell, and Thanos was left as the only surviving member of his race. He understood that other planets would soon meet the same fate. Therefore he decided to restore the universe's balance by destroying half of its population. Thanos becomes the commander of the warship "Sanctuary II" and sets out on a campaign of conquest. He takes control of the deadly armies of the Chitauri, Sakaarans, and Outriders, as well as forges alliances with the Other and Ronan the Accuser. Thanos took orphan children from each planet he invaded. Among them are Ebony Gob, Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, Gamora, and Nebula. He paid particular attention to his favorite Gamora.
Soon Thanos found out about the Infinity Stones, which can destroy half the life in the universe in the snap of a finger. And since 2012, he set out in search of them with the support of his allies and adopted children. Seeing the Titan's cruelty, Ronan and Nebula betray him, and Gamora joins the Guardians of the Galaxy. An enraged Thanos decides to search for himself and, within a few years, gets all the six Stones: the Mind Stone, the Power Stone, the Space Stone, the Time Stone, the Reality Stone, and the Soul Stone. The Titan also forces the Dwarf Eitri to forge the Infinity Gauntlet to hold the power of all the Stones. To stop Thanos from "snapping", Thor severely wounds him with the Stormbreaker. But despite this, the Mad Titan still accomplishes what he set out to do. Thanos snaps his fingers and successfully destroys half of all life in the universe. After that, Thanos teleports to the Garden, on the 0259-S planet, where he heals his wound while admiring the "rising of the grateful universe".
