Mysterio
Mysterio

His real name is Quentin Beck. Supervillain of the Marvel Comics universe. He has no superhuman powers but is an accomplished hypnotist, special effects and tricks performer, amateur chemist, and robotics technician. He is skilled in martial arts, telekinesis, and magic. He can fly, teleport, attack with energy, as well as manipulate reality, control shadows, and create mystical creatures. Beck worked as an engineer at Stark Industries, developing holographic technology. In 2016, Tony Stark appropriated Beck's technology and demonstrated it at a Stark Expo called M.O.R.G. Beck has become disillusioned with Stark for improperly using and "stealing" his work. Subsequently, Tony fires Beck for his unstable character. To get revenge, Beck teams up with other former Stark Industries employees who also hate Tony Stark — William Ginter Riva, Victoria Snow, Gutes Guterman, Janice Lincoln, and Doug. Using his abilities in deception and illusion, Quentin decides to create Elementals to save the world from them and present himself to humankind as a protector and superhero under the name Mysterio. So with Guterman's help, Beck invents a legend for himself. He develops a special suit consisting of a helmet with a holographic projector, boots that emit hallucinogenic gas, and gloves along with Lincoln. By tricking Peter Parker, he gains access to "E.D.I.T." — Stark's technological glasses, which give him access to Stark Industries' drones. But despite all of Beck's tricks, Spider-Man reveals his devious plans and challenges him to a decisive fight.
