In the second round of the UEFA Conference League group stage, Copenhagen will host Jagiellonia Białystok at the Parken Stadium. The hosts began their journey in the second qualification round, overcoming Gibraltar's Magpies (3-0, 5-1), Czech side Ostrava (1-0, 0-1, 2-1 on penalties), and Scotland's Kilmarnock (2-0, 1-1). Eighteen-year-old Viktor Froholdt scored three goals, while Lukas Lerager and Magnus Mattsson contributed three assists each. The visitors started their European season in the Champions League's first qualification round, defeating Lithuania's Panevėžys (4-0, 3-1) but falling to Bodø/Glimt (0-1, 1-4). The reigning Ekstraklasa champions also failed to advance in the Europa League, losing both legs to Ajax (0-3, 1-4).

The hosts are competing in the Conference League for the second season. In ten home matches in the tournament, the Lions have only lost twice — to PAOK (1-2) and PSV Eindhoven (0-4). They scored at least twice in seven of these games. Since their international debut in 1992, the Danish giants have faced three Polish clubs. In the 1993 Intertoto Cup, they lost to Pogoń Szczecin (1-4), and in 1999 to Polonia Warsaw (0-3). However, in the 2020/21 Europa League qualification, Copenhagen defeated Piast Gliwice at home, 3-0.

Jagiellonia was founded in 1920 but only made their European debut in the 2010/11 season. This will be the Pride of Podlaskie's first appearance in the Conference League. Previously, the team was eliminated six times in Europa League qualification, never reaching a UEFA competition's main stage. In eleven away games, the team named after the Lithuanian Grand Duke has only managed wins against Lithuania's Kruoja (1-0), Panevėžys, and Georgia's Dinamo Batumi (1-0).
