A friendly match between Liechtenstein and Scotland will take place at Rheinpark Stadion in Vaduz. The two sides last met in Group I of the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifiers. The Tartan Army won that game thanks to a goal from former Brighton and Peterborough striker Craig Mackail-Smith, 1–0. Scotland also struggled in the earlier meeting in Glasgow. Liechtenstein’s all-time top scorer Mario Frick opened the scoring after halftime at Hampden Park. Midway through the half, former Rangers forward Kenny Miller leveled the score, and in the 97th minute, ex-Celtic defender Stephen McManus netted the dramatic winner for the United Kingdom’s squad.

The Liechtenstein vs. Scotland friendly will be streamed live on MEGOGO on June 9, 2025.

The hosts have claimed just one win since November 2020 — a 1–0 victory over Hong Kong in Vaduz. Since autumn 2021, the principality’s national team has scored only two goals at home. Over that same stretch, they managed just one draw at Rheinpark Stadion — a 0–0 result against Gibraltar in the UEFA Nations League D Division. Those two games were also the only ones in which Liechtenstein kept a clean sheet. Their last home shutout before that came back in October 2020 in a goalless draw against San Marino.

Scotland failed to retain its spot in the Nations League A Division. In March, the Tartan Army fell to Greece in a promotion/relegation playoff over two legs (1–0, 0–3). The British side has earned just two wins from its last eight away matches. During that span, they kept a clean sheet on the road only once — against Greece in Piraeus.
