In the 2005/06 campaign, the Yellow-and-Blacks fell to Artmedia Bratislava already in the first round (2-0, 1-4, overtime). Four years ago, the team from Almaty upset Maccabi Haifa in the 1/8 finals of qualification (2-0, 1-1), before being knocked out by Crvena Zvezda (2-1, 0-5). The club has never won any of its six away matches in qualification (four defeats, two draws).
