The draw for the Europa League and Conference League stages will take place in the Principality of Monaco at the Grimaldi Forum Convention Center. A new feature of the 2025/26 season is the merger of the two events into a single show. Opponents will be determined using a digital system rather than physical balls. In the Europa League, participants will be divided into four pots of nine teams each, while in the Conference League the format will be six pots of six. The club coefficient ranking will be used for seeding. Each team will play one home and one away match against opponents from different pots. In Europe’s second most prestigious competition, Go Ahead Eagles, Bologna, and Nottingham Forest will make their debuts since the introduction of the group stage. Aston Villa took part back when the tournament was still the UEFA Cup. The first pot includes Roma, Porto, Feyenoord, Lille, Dinamo Zagreb, Betis, and Salzburg. The names of twelve more participants will be determined after the playoff qualification finals, while another seven teams will drop down from the fourth qualifying round of the Champions League.

Last year, Conference League pairings were drawn manually. From now on, the procedure will be entrusted to a computer. The system will take into account the coefficient-based seeding pots as well as the match location (home or away). No team qualifies automatically for the main stage. Twenty-four clubs will be determined through qualification, with the remaining twelve coming from the corresponding round of the Europa League.
